Sips and She-nanigans – A Sassy Soirée!

It’s a dressy Friday Night – think fancy wine/cocktail party. This evening we will laud those behind-the-spotlight lady heroes that make winemakers and chefs look so good! Sous chefs, Assistant Winemakers, Viticulturists, Winery and Restaurant Owners.

The evening’s entertainment features a lineup of talented female comics including Jessica Keenan and Mav Viola. Jessica is a Mexican/Lebanese comedian who was born and raised in Las Vegas and is now based in LA. She has appeared in HBO Max’s Ha Festival: The Art of Comedy, and she was also a finalist for Standup NBC. In 2021, her first special was released on HBO Max’s What She Said. Mav is a standup comedian based in Los Angeles by way of Virginia Beach, VA. Mav can be seen on Comedy Central Featuring, and you can catch her live May 8th headlining for Netflix Is A Joke.

The emcee for the evening will be valley local Anna Vocino, comic, cookbook author, and founder of Eat Happy Kitchen, a premium food company that makes no sugar added pasta sauces and spice blends.

Guests will enjoy lite bites from Sassafras Food Truck and a fabulous selection of Santa Barbara County’s finest local wines.

Be prepared to bid on a terrific selection of silent auction items, all benefitting the She Raised Her Hand initiative.

Experience Âmevive and the Ibarra-Young Vineyard

Spend golden hour strolling around one of the oldest vineyards planted in Santa Barbara County. Ibarra-Young vineyard was planted in 1971 by Charlotte Young and is now lovingly tended by Alice Anderson. The vineyard has been farmed organically since 1993 and has incorporated regenerative and biodynamic practices since 2019. This will be a true Santa Ynez Valley vineyard experience. Wear shoes for unstable terrain and come walk the old vines with Alice. You’ll learn about holistic vineyard management, visit the animals that are integrated into the vineyard system, taste 5 wines from the property, and enjoy a few lite bites prepared by Alice. You’ll also go home with a magnum from the property. Experience for up to 6 people. Tasting & Food Pairing Experience for 8 at Bella Vista Vineyard

Schedule an intimate and educational tasting accompanied by food pairings and Luna Hart Wines owner and winemaker, Gretchen Voelcker. The tasting will take place at our winery in Ballard Canyon overlooking Bella Vista Vineyard. Luna Hart Wines is a boutique wine company specializing in small production, small-batch, handcrafted wines. Gretchen focuses on organic, sustainable and biodynamic vineyards producing Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc and Syrah and makes the wines with a minimal intervention style.
